Environment

The campsite is well situated in the beatiful hills between the rivers Lot and Garonne.

The district is famous for its prunes (Pruneaux d'Agen).  
The vineyards, the sunflower-fields, the fields with artichokes, strawberries, melons, and the orchards with pears, apples, kiwis and cherries do create a dynamic landscape of alternating colours.
   
And in this landscape you'll find plenty of small villages with often an old little church. To see these, they have sign-posted a special tour "Circuit des Chapelles et Bastides en Pays de Serres", and the campsite is situated on this tour.     
The sloping hills are ideal for actif cyclists. For the walkers there are plenty of very nice walks. The district is not yet known by many tourists.
  


At 10 minutes distance is AGEN, with the beautiful aquaduct of the 19th century crossing the river Garonne
    

     


Other places of interest in the environment are: parc with gnomes; grottos and castles; the "Prune- museum"; a waterlilies museum; etc.
   


The amusement park Walibi with refreshing waterattractions is at only 20 minutes distance.
        

On the Baïse and Le Canal du midi several watersport activities, boat - and canoe excursions are possible.
     


A little bit further away, you'll find the exciting towns Villeneuve sur Lot (40 km), Cahors (100 km), Toulouse (120 km), Bordeaux (120 km) or Lourdes in the Pyrenees (160 km).
 

It is also very interesting to visit the very old towns Monflanquin, Monpazier en Villereal in the nord of our department as also de castel "Bonaguil".
  
Even the caracteristic little villages Pujols and Penne d'Agenais are very interesting. the beautiful Dordogne is just a bit north of the river Lot.
